Domestic abuse

UK - The National Domestic Abuse Helpline is a free, 24 hour helpline for women and children, where you can get help and advice if you are experiencing domestic abuse. If this includes you we encourage you to ask for help now.

UK - The Respect Men’s advice line is a free helpline for men experiencing domestic abuse. Domestic abuse affects men of all ages and backgrounds and we encourage you to ask for help too.

Australia - 1800Respect is a national service which offers advice, a helpline and counselling services related to domestic violence and abuse.  

Australia - Mensline Australia is a telephone and online counselling service for Australian men. 

 

Personal finances and unsustainable debt

UK - Legal & General provide an excellent and broad range of free information and online tools relating to wellbeing, budgeting for a home and family, retirement planning, saving, borrowing and addressing unsustainable debt. Whether you are planning for the future or seeking help with a problem there is a lot here to get you started.

UK - StepChange is a national charity that specialises in free advice and solutions to unsustainable debt. They have 25 years of experience and help over half a million people a year.

UK - Credit Unions are safe, regulated community organisations that allow you borrow or save within your local community.  The Find your credit union website allows you to search for your nearest local credit union so you can contact them and find our more.

Australia - National Debt Helpline provide free advice and guidance on managing finances, including a webchat and helpline service.

Health and wellbeing

UK - Vita Healthworks provide free advice to Serco employees and their families relating to mental and physical health – the invite code is ‘Serco’.

UK - Mind are a national Charity in England and Wales who offer information and advice to people with mental health problems.  

UK - NHS mental health services page offers advice on how to refer yourself to therapy and counselling services, as well as providing other useful information and links around mental health.  

Australia - Australian Serco colleagues can visit the Wellbeing Hub to access advice and support for mental, physical and financial wellbeing.

Australia - Australian Serco Coleagues can download the 'Converge' app and register using emplyer code: SERCMGGN.  This provides health and wellebing support.

Other support available

UK - Samaritans helpline is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for anyone experiencing emotional distress and requiring support.

UK - Crisis UK are a national charity who help and support homeless people.  They provide support ranging from finding a home and settling in, getting new skills and finding a job, or help with health and wellbeing, with the aim of supporting people out of homelessness for good.

UK - Age UK are a national charity, who also operate an advice line 8am - 7pm 365 days a year.  The advice line is a free, confidential national phone service for older people, their families, friends, carers and professionals, aimed at providing information that is reliable and up to date and help access further advice.

UK - Citizens Advice is an independent organisation specialising in confidential information and advice to assist people with legal, debt, consumer, housing and other problems in the United Kingdom.
